Cookies and browser storage
Last updated: 20 October 2026
NullYield uses browser storage for sign-in, security and your selected theme. NullYield does not currently use advertising, marketing or analytics cookies.
Sign-in and security
- Name
session- Storage
- A first-party cookie set by NullYield.
- Purpose
- Keep you signed in, complete authentication and protect requests against forgery.
- Duration
- Up to 14 days from creation or renewal. Signing out or deleting your account clears the session cookie.
- Consent
- Used where strictly necessary for the sign-in and security functions you request, under section 25(2)(2) TDDDG.
Your theme choice
- Name
nullyield-theme- Storage
- Your browser's local storage.
- Purpose
- Remember the light or dark theme you select. The stored value is a theme name, not an advertising identifier.
- Duration
- Until you change the choice or clear NullYield's site data in your browser. It does not have an automatic expiry.
- Consent
- Used to provide the theme setting you explicitly request, under section 25(2)(2) TDDDG.
You can clear this preference through your browser's site-data controls. Blocking storage does not prevent you from changing the theme for the current page.
Sign-in providers and security checks
Google or Auth0 may use their own cookies and browser storage when you choose their sign-in service. Where Cloudflare security checks are enabled, Cloudflare processes browser and connection signals to prevent automated abuse. Storage used by those services depends on the sign-in or security flow; their privacy information is linked in the Privacy Notice.
Necessary storage is assessed by its purpose, not simply by which provider sets it. Optional tracking would require an appropriate consent choice before being enabled.
For the purposes and legal bases of any personal-data processing associated with this storage, see the Privacy Notice.
